Das gibt nur ein Problem: Alte Verhaltensweisen öffnen keine neuen Türen…

Damit wir uns also grundsätzlich und immer einfacher anders verhalten können, ist es sehr wichtig, achtsam und bewusst zu reagieren auf alles, was uns wirklich berührt. Ich habe hier schon oft darüber gesprochen, dass die Achtsamkeit gar nicht hoch genug geschätzt und sorgfältig genug praktiziert werden kann. Die gute Nachricht aus der Neurowissenschaft ist, dass die Übung der Achtsamkeit tatsächlich auf Dauer grundsätzlich unsere Gehirnfunktion verändert, sprich, so wie bei einem kleinen Kind durch seine Erfahrungen die ersten Verdrahtungen im Gehirn gebildet werden, so verändert unser Verhalten auch unsere neuronalen Verdrahtungen. Wenn wir also lernen, unserem Ärger nicht nachzugeben, dann führt das auf die Dauer dazu, dass wir ruhiger und liebevoller werden, weil unser Gehirn neue Verhaltensweisen abspeichert und dann in den jeweiligen Situationen auch abruft. Das wiederum bedeutet, dass wir uns dann nicht mehr so anstrengen müssen, ruhig und freundlich zu bleiben, sondern dass dies mit der Zeit immer normaler für uns wird. Weil in Situationen, die uns normalerweise ärgern oder aufbringen, das Gehirn auf Ruhe, Überlegung und Freundlichkeit zurückgreift, statt in die Aggression zu steuern.

Ich finde das eine ganz wunderbare Nachricht, denn das heißt, dass das Bemühen um Achtsamkeit, Freundlichkeit und Liebe dazu führt, dass wir all das immer mehr werden, und war quasi „automatisch“.

Lasst uns also diese Woche Achtsamkeit, Liebe, Ruhe und Freundlichkeit üben. Wenn es uns jeden Tag nur einmal gelingt, nicht in der gewohnten Weise zu reagieren, tun wir schon eine Menge dafür, in Zukunft viel müheloser ruhig zu bleiben. Viel Erfolg – ich wünsche uns eine achtsame Woche!
